What are Vanishing Deductibles

What is a vanishing deductible? A question that we get here at AZ Insurance Team a lot. In todays blog we will be answering this question and putting it into action.

What is a Vanishing Deductible?

A vanishing deductible is a policy add on that some insurance companies offer to incentivize drivers to not get into accidents or have violations. In theory if the driver has no accidents or violations over their policy term, then the deductible will slowly decrease over time. This means if the driver was to get into an accident they would pay less out of pocket then before.

We can put this into action. If you deductible is $500 and it decreases by 20% per year, it will fall to $400 after a year of not filing a claim. It will continue to drop 20% for every year that you are accident and violation free. One thing to keep in mind is, most of the time your deductible will reset after you file a claim.

Insurance companies will require proof of good driving, however the amount of required proof varies from company to company. By giving AZ Insurance Team a call today at (480) 535 5709 we can get you the best policy for your situation. Let us get started today on finding your perfect policy!
