MEET THE AZ INSURANCE TEAM
Charlotte Burr
Charlotte is 5th generation from Arizona and 4th generation from Mesa. She owned a "Shmarmers" agency (say it out loud and you'll know) for 2 years before starting AZ Insurance Team with Steven in 2012. Charlotte has a deep appreciation for the environment and animals. When she travels, and happens to be at a beach, you will catch her picking up trash to help beautify the scenery. She has 2 rescue dogs and helps out with Arizona Basset Hound Rescue (www.azbassetrescue.org) as often as she can. Charlotte enjoys making ceramics (from scratch) and jewelry. She's also one heck of a Disney nerd!
Steven Martz
Steven is 5th generation from Arizona and graduated from Mountain Pointe in Ahwatukee and ASU with a bachelors in Communication. He is an owner at AZ Insurance Team and has been in insurance for about eight years. When Steven is not being an awesome insurance agent he is riding his bike all over Tempe and hiking. He recently hiked Mt Humphreys in Flagstaff and reached 10,000 feet. He too is an animal lover and will talk your ear off about Zoey, the insurance dog.
Tyra Walker
Tyra was born in Peoria, IL and grew up in Colorado before moving to Arizona. She graduated from Northern Arizona University with an emphasis in filmmaking. She's currently working on her stories and other creative projects. After graduating, Tyra found herself working in insurance. It was an experience that she found herself invested in. After getting her insurance license, she visited Jamaica. She now wants to see the rest of the world. Italy (She briefly studies Latin) and Japan (She minored in Japanese) are among the top countries she wants to visit. You can find her listening to music, reading, playing life simulation games, or bowling with her family when she's off the clock.
Lacey Cardenas
Lacey is 3rd Generation from Arizona. Born in Glendale, and raised in Phoenix and has 2 kids with her husband of 19 years. Lacey was and underwriting assistant, but found she was more interested in the Personal Lines side of the industry. She loves all things arts and crafts and spends her free time creating mini albums and other paper crafts. She most enjoys hanging out with her family and brothers watching sporting events, cooking, playing board games or exploring AZ. One day she hopes to travel the world extensively, but for now plans in the near future to purchase a travel trailer and continue to travel and explore Arizona.
Anai Avalos
Anai was born in Nogales Sonora Mex, raised in Arizona. She is a mom of a 7 year old and 5 dogs. She enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors. Loves off-roading and hiking but also enjoys a nice day in. She is hopeful one day she is able to travel around and get to see new places.
Steven Seto
Steven is our current Marketing Intern. Born in Glendale, Arizona, Steven is currently at Arizona State University studying marketing. Outside of work, he loves exploring new food places, spending time with friends, and binging Netflix. His goal is to one day be in a movie and travel the world.
